I encourage all coaches and trainers to get out and meet as many people as possible. Conferences, seminars and workshops are some of the best ways to meet passionate, like-minded people that are motivated to learn and share ideas. Over a year ago, I had the fortune of meeting and engaging Andy McCloy, a high performance strength coach from Alabama, and owner of Body Creations Sport Performance and Fitness. We were both in attendance at the 2016 iFAST Physical Preparation Summit hosted by Mike Robertson and Bill Hartman, two great friends of mine. The environment created by Mike and Bill is fantastic for learning, collaborating and creating lifelong connections with great people. Andy and I hit it off right away. He was someone that I wanted to have on our podcast in the very near future.
In our performance chat, I ask Andy what he does on a typical day at his BCI facility. We also talk about how his career evolved in coaching, starting from a dream to work with professional athletes that was eventually realized. However, we find that he has gradually progressed to working with adult fitness clients and becoming a mentor to his staff and other private fitness and performance facility owners around the country. The combination of expertise, enthusiasm and humility brought to the table by Andy is both refreshing and motivating. We know you will enjoy hearing from Andy McCloy in this Performance Concepts Chat, and encourage you to visit him at his BCI Facility in Madison, Alabama.
